Management and Boards
BiO is governed by serveral external boards, as well as an internal management team.
Boards
Molecular Life Science
The steering committee for BiO is that of the inter-disciplinary unit Molecular Life Science (MLSUiO), and MLSUiO provides the link between BiO and UiO. MLSUiO provides guidance in the appointment of group leaders and other scientific positions within BiO.
Personnel
The Employment council in UiO's central administration (OPA) is the official authority for the appointment of technical and administrative positions at BIO, with the exception of group member employment, which is decided by the group leaders.
Scientific Advisory Board
BiO has a Scientific Advisory Board, an international scientific body of external professional sciencts that provide academic and strategic consulting.
BiO Management
The Centre director of BiO is Professor Kjetil Taskén (Centre Director). Also on the BiO management team are Dr. Hilde Nilsen (Assistant Director) and Ingrid Kjelsvik (Chief Administrative Officer; leader of the administrative and technical staff on core facilities).
